VIOXX RECALLED

On September 29, 2004, Merck & Co. Inc. announced it is withdrawing its arthritis drug Vioxx worldwide.

Merck's decision to withdraw Vioxx from the market came after the data safety monitoring board overseeing a long-term study of the drug recommended that the study be halted because of an increased risk of serious cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes, among study patients taking Vioxx compared to patients receiving placebo.

The Hayden Law Office is currently investigating claims involving serious injury or death concerning the prescription drug Vioxx, (rofecoxib) manufactured by Merck.

Call 610-664-6081 or E-Mail the firm if you believe you have been harmed by Vioxx.
